North Omaha students offered coding camp to learn tech skills
Some high school students are now at a unique camp to give them a jump start on the tech market. The seven-week camp, sponsored by nonprofit groups 75 North and Aim, is geared to teach high school students in north Omaha the language of computers.
Posted — Updated14 students were selected to attend the camp, according to camp officials.
Part of the activities include learning to create computer codes and build websites with the end goal of having skills for an entry-level job.
"Once I heard about this camp, I have do it. It's interesting and it will help me because I think I want to do a career with coding and technology," said camper, Marayn.
This is the third year the two nonprofits have sponsored the program.
