— A North Johnston High School student was one of two people killed in a three-car wreck on N.C. Highway 39 four miles north of Selma on Monday afternoon.

The wreck occurred when a vehicle, driven by Nathan Cole, 18, of Selma, crossed the center line, side-swiped another vehicle and hit another car head-on, Johnston County Highway Patrol Trooper BJ Hare said.

Cole was the only person in vehicle. He was wearing a seat belt, Hare said.

No one in the second vehicle was injured.

The driver of the third vehicle, Victoria Jordan, 42, of Burgaw, was killed. She was the only person in the vehicle and she was wearing a seat belt.

I normally try not to comment however. First, i know the Cole family and send my thoughts and prayer to you and the other family. What a sad chain of events.

TO:Moose, You really should think before you speak. Just because he was a teenager does not mean that he was careless or thoughtless. Nathan is a smart and wonderful young man. Accidents do happen. Next time think about how you would feel if it was you child or brother that was invovled.

May each family be blessed and guided through this time of sorrow.

So sad for both the families involved. My son and son-n-law knew Nathan. Sending prayers to both families.

My son was a friend of Nate's. Prayers to his family as well as the woman's family. We have had way too many deaths on NC roads this past 10 days or so.

And it goes on. Two students were killed here in Wayne County yesterday afternoon, in a car accident. The driver was 17 and the passenger was 15. What a loss this is.

Only condolences for the cause of the crash? How about the innocent victim?

Victoria Johnson, RIP. My prayers are with your family. I'm sure that many will mourn that you died for simply driving down the road in a safe and lawful manner and became the victim of another teenager.
