Grinch steals holiday decorations
I'm excited that Go Ask Mom will be part of North Hills' newest holiday event this weekend. It's called Winter Wonderland.

The free event runs 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, at North Hills' Midtown Park, which is the amphitheater and lawn on the east side of Six Forks Road. Go Ask Mom will be there from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. with crafts. We'll be making Christmas ornaments and have some coloring pages too. Visitors also can enjoy luminaries, listen to local choral groups and explore a mission tree walk.

Starting at 5 p.m., North Hills will screen a couple of Christmas favorites. From 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., it's the 1966 animated version of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Then, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., it's the PG-rated "Elf," starring Will Ferrell.

Also, Santa Claus will be making an appearance at North Hills from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Dec. 13, at the Shepherd's Way Farms Christmas tree lot. You can find the lot and its giant sleigh on the same side as Midtown Park. It's free to visit with Santa and take your own picture.

Hope to see you there!
