North Hills marks National Night Out Tuesday

The South Atlantic Fire Rescue Expo's fire truck parade rolled down Fayetteville Street on Saturday.

North Hills in Raleigh will host some National Night Out activities on Tuesday to offer a chance for the community to meet up with law enforcement personnel and learn more about crime prevention and safety awareness.

It's 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Midtown Park at North Hills (next to Chuy's) at 4011 Cardinal at North Hills St. It's free. The event will include a chance to meet officers and others from the following agencies: 

  • Raleigh Police Department
  • NC State Police - Mounted Patrol
  • Wake County Sheriff's Department
  • Wake County EMS
  • State Highway Patrol
  • Raleigh Fire Department - Engine #9
  • Kane Public Safety
  • CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams)

There also will be free activities and sweet treats from Capital Balloon Studios, Sunset Slush of Raleigh, Bee Bee Kidz, Maria's Fancy Faces, Oscar Williams Cotton Candy, Jump-N-Fun for Kids bounce house and more.
