On Friday, President Obama will become the first sitting U.S. President to visit Hiroshima.

Obama said his visit to Hiroshima, the Japanese city where 140,000 died when the U.S. dropped the first atomic bomb in 1945, will underscore "the sense of urgency" that everyone should have about disarmament.

Twenty years ago, WRAL's David Crabtree interviewed a North Carolina man who was directly responsible for dropping the bomb that change history.
