No injuries reported in Durham bank robbery

Durham police are investigating a Friday morning bank robbery at a Wells Fargo branch on West Main Street.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating a Friday morning bank robbery at a Wells Fargo branch on West Main Street. 

Officers responded to the bank, at 2000 West Main St., about 9:30 a.m. after receiving a call about a robbery. No one was injured in the incident, police said. 

Durham police are searching for a man in his 40s or 50s, about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a light-colored jacket, dark pants and a hat.

E.K. Poe Elementary School, at 913 9th St., was briefly locked down when police responded to the area, Durham Public Schools officials said.
