RALEIGH, N.C. — An armed robbery at a Raleigh nightclub early Friday led to a 12-mile chase and the arrest of four suspects, police said.

Three men and a woman robbed a man at Club VIP around 1:30 a.m. and then drove away, police said. The suspects took off when officers tried to stop them at Dawson and Cabarrus streets.

Police said the chase lasted a little more than 10 minutes and reached speeds up to 85 mph.

The suspects' car stopped after running over stopsticks laid by Wake County sheriff's deputies on U.S. Highway 401, near Meadow Drive, police said.

Officers took all four suspects into custody. Their names and the charges they face haven't been released yet.
