Army special operations, UNC system sign training pact
The Army's most elite soldiers are teaming with North Carolina's university system to improve training on national security issues.

The partnership will allow University of North Carolina campuses and the Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg to share information, research and expertise in national security issues. The agreement will encourage the exchange of medical, language and culture instructors. It also allows for degree-completion opportunities for soldiers.
The Army and the UNC signed the partnership Thursday during a Board of Governors meeting in Chapel Hill.
"This agreement is further proof that the foundation’s focus on growing the state’s defense economy through increased collaboration and innovation will succeed,” retired Army Gen. James Lindsay, a board member of the N.C. Military Foundation, said in a statement.
