CONCORD, N.C. — Casey Mears gambled on fuel and won NASCAR's longest race, the Coca-Cola 600. Mears shunned a late fuel stop and it paid off in his first career Nextel Cup victory in 156 races.
J.J. Yeley ran second, his best finish of his career. Kyle Petty finished third for his first top five finish since 1997.
