Former Speaker Jim Black's wife dies

Sad news today: multiple sources confirm Betty Black, wife of former NC House Speaker Jim Black, passed away this morning. Mrs. Black had suffered from ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease. 

Black was released from federal prison in October 2010 after serving more than three years for public corruption.
