Perdue, GOP each win one
Legislative Republicans won't fight Gov. Bev Perdue's veto of Senate Bill 13. But Perdue won't veto a GOP measure aimed at propelling NC into federal lawsuits filed by states against federal health care reform.
Posted — UpdatedLegislative Republicans announced this afternoon they won't fight Gov. Bev Perdue's veto of Senate Bill 13, a budget-cutting bill that would have raided job development funds.
But Perdue says she won't veto H2, a GOP-backed measure that would add NC to a lawsuit filed by multiple states seeking to overturn the individual mandate portion of the federal health care reform law.
