NC House set to vote Wednesday on anti-HCR mandate bill

The NC House is scheduled to vote Wednesday on H2, a measure that aims to fight the federal health insurance mandate in North Carolina.

The bill had been expected to reach the House floor tomorrow, but Republican leaders say they delayed the vote for a day to give lawmakers time to review new information on the bill’s potential costs.

Earlier today, Florida US District Judge Roger Vinson ruled the federal mandate unconstitutional. NC House Speaker Thom Tillis says Vinson's ruling only strengthens the case for H2.  "It makes me regret that we didn't do it last year, to maybe even hasten the decision or move it forward. But we'll move forward with this."
