New Dalton ad hits McCrory on education spending

Posted September 25, 2012

— Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton goes on the offensive in his latest campaign ad, saying that his Republican rival in the race for governor supported deep cuts for education.

The ad is notable because Dalton spends a lot of time on screen (near a big hole) directly criticizing his rival, rather than leaving the attack ads to outside groups.

Update: The video appears to have been taken down from YouTube. Several wags noted on Twitter that Dalton's team spelled McCrory's name wrong (they dropped a C) in display text on the screen.

Update: A screen grab of the offending bit of screen time is over to the left-hand side of this post.

"I would think a more logical explanation would be a low advertising budget since he is not bought and owned like Pat McCrory. I guess you folks would rather sell the state out to the Oil and Gas Industry. Ever wonder how Pat got millions in his campaign coffers? Probably just a bunch of $25 checks from average people right? Keep dreaming"

This is the first year Lt Gove Dalton has had to deal with low campaign coffers, thanks to Sen. Basnight...no you begin to wave the "bought and paid for" flag at us you hypocrit...

While this is a clever video on Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton's part...Didn't the state end up at the bottom of the hole during his reign as Lt. Gov. and Senator? Wasn't sure if I remembered that correctly...
