Fourth district Democratic Congressman David Price earned a mention in a New York Times editorial yesterday on public campaign finance.

The editorial, titled "Watergate? Whatever Was That?," criticizes House Republicans for attempting to repeal public financing for presidential campaigns. It credits Price and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) for sponsoring a bill to modernize the system's outdated formulas to make it a viable option for candidates in the future.

Price and Van Hollen's bill would also extend the life of the Election Assistance Commission, an agency that was set up after the 2000 debacle in Florida to help local and state officials update their elections systems.

The editorial is available here.
