Wake County District Attorney Colon Willoughby says there could be additional charges in the Perdue campaign probe. But he says Governor Bev Perdue is not the focus of the investigation.

"The conduct of the governor is not and never has been at issue, nor the conduct of any other elected official," Willoughby said this afternoon. "That has never been the focus of this investigation."

"This has all been people who were campaign finance operatives," he added.

Two of the three people indicted today were former campaign workers: Peter Reichard was Perdue's 2008 campaign Finance Director, and Julia Sitton was, according to the indictment, paid for campaign work with unreported dollars.
