OBX rides tide of troubled economy

Rental home occupancy along the Outer Banks went up by 10 percent in June 2008, bringing in $56 million, compared to June 2007, according to the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau. Occupancy at campgrounds, hotels and motels, however, was down in the same period.
