Military Appreciation Day October 18

Posted Updated

I thought Military Appreciation Day would just be a day that military personnel would get in free. Well, it's a bit more than that.

First, who gets in. The press release says, "With proof of active military identification, all active military personnel, including Reserve and National Guard members and dependents, plus four guests, will receive free gate admission on this day. Personnel are encouraged to enter through Gate 8 or 9."

I think it's gonna be crowded on Wednesday!

But there are also several military-related events. The 440th Army Band will be performing at 10am, with the 82nd Airborne Chorus from Fort Bragg performing at 1pm. The Heritage of America Blue Aces Rock Band (from Seymour Johnson) will be performing at 4pm after a flyover by four F-15 Strike Eagle aircraft. (Looks like all this will be taking place in the grandstand.)

Finally, the US Navy Rock Band will perform in the grandstand at 8pm. You can get Wednesday's full schedule, including the military-related events, at
