NC delegates head to forum; NC speakers take the mic

Delegates from North Carolina boarded a bus Tuesday afternoon to head to the Tampa Bay Times Forum for the first full day of the Republican National Convention.

Caucus members spent Monday at events on the other side of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, in the St. Petersburg area, so Tuesday's 20-mile bus ride marks their first trip to the convention site in Tampa.

The convention commenced at 2 p.m. with three speakers from North Carolina – a state senator from Johnston County and two congressional candidates – on the agenda.

Rep. David Rouzer (R-Johnston County), Richard Hudson and Mark Meadows each got a 10-minute window to share their message with delegates. Each used the opportunity to bash President Barack Obama and to link him to individual candidates for Congress.

"We can't afford to re-elect Barack Obama – a man who believes that America is the problem," Rouzer said.

Rouzer spoke at about 3 p.m. and was immediately followed by Hudson and Meadows.

Go get em David Rouser!! Make JoCo and the late Senator Helms proud!!!

David-you're going to beat Mike McIntyre because he changes face on the drive between Wilmington and DC. He's a liberal in DC and a conservative wannabe in NC. He votes like a liberal most of the time-and like a consevative when elections get close.

Go get em David!
