Police on Wednesday arrested a Fayetteville man in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found near Fort Bragg a year ago.

Victor J. Crisco, 48, no address available, was charged with murder and was placed in the Cumberland County jail without bond, police said.

Workers from Fayetteville's city-owned utility, the Public Works Commission, found the body of Carrie Marie Welch on July 2, 2010, while doing work along an abandoned dirt road adjacent to where Interstate 295 is under construction at Bragg Boulevard.

Police never released information as to how Welch, 21, died or a motive for her slaying, and they didn't elaborate Wednesday on what evidence led to Crisco's arrest.

Fayettville was just given the award of the "The All American City" AGAIN. They should be because they show up every week on WRAL. with a killing, strangling, wreck, stabbing,

Maybe Fayettville should get a reality show.

Crisco, LOL...better bring some along for prison.
