Raleigh leaders are studying the food truck issue further before making a decision on whether they will be allowed to park downtown.
A committee on Tuesday decided that it needs to study exactly where the trucks could legally park.

To prevent competition, it proposed that trucks not be allowed within 100 feet of restaurants.
City staff have now been asked to measure out 100 feet from existing restaurants to see how many spots that would leave for the trucks downtown.
The committee is also trying to figure out who will enforce the new rules.
The results of the committee's study are due at the end of August.
