Fayetteville, N.C. — Police have arrested a man they believe robbed a Fayetteville dollar store at gunpoint Sunday morning.
Chuck Goodspeed, 49, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of stolen goods. He was being held in the Cumberland County jail without bond Monday.
Police said a man walked into the Dollar Tree at 7715 Raeford Road with a handgun to rob the business. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled by car.
An officer later spotted a car and man fitting the description provided by witnesses, made a traffic stop and took Goodspeed into custody, police said.
