Durham police are searching for a man wanted on burglary and larceny charges and for a probation violation.

Leron Kelly Owens, 24, of Hope Avenue and Waycross Road, is wanted on charges of second-degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. Police said that he broke into a home on Mountain Brook Circle on June 8 or 9 and stole several items.

Owens is also wanted for violating his probation for August convictions on four counts of felony breaking and entering and two larceny counts. The state Department of Correction lists him as an absconder from probation supervision.

Owens also has seven other convictions dating to 2003, including assault by pointing a gun and assault on a female, DOC records state. He has served one, four-month jail term, in addition to probation.

Anyone with information on Owens' whereabouts should call police investigators at 919-560-4281, extension 29121 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for tips leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.

Guys at lunch ....again? Slackers. Wish I had a job like that!

Then....if you shoot this man while he is in your home YOU will be put in jail and kept there. Of course unless you are a Johnston County politician.

Do you guys think that the people who let these fools out on the streets read this or even care? Be for real. They have a state job without a lot of requirements, and just come to work and play the game. Until one of their families gets massacred and they decide to take up the issue, nothing will change. I say let them all out and give them a map to the homes of the people that put them back on the streets.

Hey JUDGES!!!!....Hey DEPT. OF CRRECTIONS!!!! why is this clown out on MY streets taking up MY tax dollars to begin with...rather use MY tax dollars to feed him in PRISON where the rodent belongs

With the justice reinvestment its about to get worse!!!! HANG ON!!
