Remains found in Durham identified

print friendly

Police have identified human remains found two weeks ago in Durham.

The remains of Steven Lee Dominick, 61, were found on May 18 in an isolated area near Ellis Road and N.C. Highway 147.

Authorities haven't released the cause of death, but a police spokeswoman said Dominick was homeless and that his death doesn't appear to be suspicious.

I'm glad the body was identified. At least it answers questions for somebody, and its sad to think of someone dying and no one even notices.

He wasn't the guy with the artificial leg who use to stand at the I-85 exit to Hillandale Rd was he? That man is no longer there, and I wondered what happened to him.

Sad. :(

I went to school with steve. He was a navy vet.And a good person. We`ll pray for him.

Thanks for the update WRAL.
