Pittsboro, N.C. — Chatham County commissioners and law enforcement leaders broke ground Thursday on a new facility to house judges, court staff and courtrooms for superior and district court.
The $21.1 million judicial center had been in the planning stages and is not a replacement for the historic courthouse ruined by fire in March 2010.
