NC State student faces sex offense charge

A North Carolina State University student is charged with a second-degree sexual offense.

Dwayne Samuel Daughtry, 45, was arrested on Thursday. He was being held under a $100,000 bond in the Wake County jail on Thursday.

The victim, who is an acquaintance of Daughtry, told university police that the incident occurred early Saturday morning at Daughtry’s on-campus apartment in the E.S. King Village.

The N.C. State directory lists Daughtry as a sophomore business and marketing education major.
