Suspect wanted in Fayetteville slaying

Police were searching Wednesday for a Fayetteville man who has been named as a suspect in a fatal shooting last week.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police were searching Wednesday for a Fayetteville man who has been named as a suspect in a fatal shooting last week.

Rinald Anthony Jackson, 28, is wanted on a first-degree murder charge in the Feb. 16 death of Patrick Donte Lloyd, 27, of White Oak. Police said Lloyd was found shot to death inside a home at 108 Facility Drive.

Jackson, who also goes by Cuervo, has a distinguishing tattoo between his eyes, police said. He is known to frequent the areas of Murchison Road and Colony Place Apartments.

Police cautioned that Jackson is armed and dangerous. He has previous convictions for assault inflicting serious injury, assault on a policeman, possession of a firearm by a felon and selling drugs, according to state Department of Correction records.

Anybody who knows Jackson's whereabouts is urged to call Fayetteville police at 910-433-1529 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Callers to Crime Stoppers are eligible for a cash reward, and they never have to reveal their identity.
