Police were searching Wednesday for a Fayetteville man who has been named as a suspect in a fatal shooting last week.

Rinald Anthony Jackson, 28, is wanted on a first-degree murder charge in the Feb. 16 death of Patrick Donte Lloyd, 27, of White Oak. Police said Lloyd was found shot to death inside a home at 108 Facility Drive.

Jackson, who also goes by Cuervo, has a distinguishing tattoo between his eyes, police said. He is known to frequent the areas of Murchison Road and Colony Place Apartments.

Police cautioned that Jackson is armed and dangerous. He has previous convictions for assault inflicting serious injury, assault on a policeman, possession of a firearm by a felon and selling drugs, according to state Department of Correction records.

Anybody who knows Jackson's whereabouts is urged to call Fayetteville police at 910-433-1529 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Callers to Crime Stoppers are eligible for a cash reward, and they never have to reveal their identity.

Moweaver, you're absolutely correct. I was gonna say it here but you beat me to it. It's like, "yep, here we go again, reading ANOTHER crime committed by a PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED person that is on the street and will NEVER be reformed." It's a good thing I'm not a JUDGE!!

moweaver I totally agree with you. Now for my answer to that question: He hasn't harmed anyone but individuals who are like him so why keep him locked away when he can go out & allegedly kill others who r like him. As long as he is killin & assaulting in his own race they don't care. I know we shouldn't judge but if he hasn't changed after the 2nd or 3rd incident, HE WILL NOT CHANGE! 1528

Moweaver and Limeyrider has just made two outstanding points. There is nothing else I can add to this comments blog.

So if he has previous CONVICTIONS for assault inflicting serious injury, assault on a policeman, possession of a firearm by a felon and selling drugs, I only have one question. Why is he on the street and not in jail?? Obviously this is a man who is not going to be reformed.

"Jackson, who also goes by Cuervo, has a distinguishing tattoo between his eyes"

OK, since we don't have the 'distinguishing tattoo' in the photo (or it's somehow not up to the standards of this fine web site) how about a description of it?
