Vass man accused of raping teen

Vass, N.C. — Moore County sheriff's investigators arrested a 29-year-old Vass man on Sunday and charged him with statutory rape.

Diego Lopez-Lopez, of 268 McKeithen Road, is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl, whose family had been reported her missing from Lexington County, S.C., according to Sheriff Lane Carter

The teen was returned safely to her family in South Carolina.

Investigators said the girl thought of Lopez as her boyfriend.

Lopez was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 24 in Moore County District Court in Carthage.

Charges were pending in South Carolina.

This type of behavior is not considered "deviant" where he is from...and where he will be again if they will crack those cell doors just a little bit....!!!

Legal, legal, legal, I am sick and tired of people posting statements about wonder if he is legal, ok so of course if he is illegal it is wrong, we all know that, but post about the issue, don't get off on another tangent.
