Twelve students were sent to the hospital Wednesday morning after a wreck involving a school bus in Duplin County, the Duplin County Sheriff's Office said.

The bus driver, Tina Andrews, was charged with failure to maintain lane control, deputies said. The wreck occurred on Ralph Sutton Road, near Tram Road, around 7:10 a.m.

Emergency officials said that none of the students' injuries were serious.

Twenty-five students were on the bus at the time of the wreck.

She turned around to talk to some kids and it ran off the road...something we ALL do everyday!

Still way too many school bus wrecks in the news lately. Standards must be raised, and if that means having to pay more for responsible people to care for our kids, then so be it. I would rather someone earn their money for a job well done than for it to go as a waisted raise for a senator or congressman.

I saw bus Nunmer ?? Harnett county, Jonesboro road, run the right rear both tires off the pavement 4 times in about a mile and a half, On the phone wanta bet

Just hope all the kids are okay.

Buses can only go so fast. Being cut off by one before myself, I understand what you others are saying, however, I empathize with most of the drivers. Most people do not maintain the posted speed limit which makes it hard to navigate intersections that are better controlled when everyone follows instructions.

I don't know about this bus driver.....I just hope the kids are not suffering any permanent damage due to her negligence.

Ah good call we_all...yeah make them travel for hours on these roads with goofy drivers.
