Camp Lejeune Marine dies in Afghanistan

Staff Sgt. Stacy A. Green, 34, of Alexander City, Ala., died Dec. 10 in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Green was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force out of Camp Lejeune. He was killed in action in Helmand province.
