Camp Lejeune, N.C. — A Camp Lejeune Marine was killed on Sunday in Afghanistan, the U.S. Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Sgt. Nicholas J. Aleman, 24, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died while supporting combat operations in the Paktia province. He was assigned to the Deployment Processing Command-East.
