Roanoke Rapids police arrested twin brothers and are searching for a third suspect in the robbery of a tobacco store on Tuesday.

Police said three men walked into the Tobacco Outlet, 100 Premier Blvd., just before 8 p.m. One of the men had a handgun. The men forced the clerk into the back of the store, turned off the lights and robbed the store.

The clerk was not hurt.

Police later arrested 18-year-olds Darelle Rhisean Dancy and Darrel Lamont Dancy, both of 146 Southgate Drive.

Darelle Rhisean Dancy is charged with robbery, removing a serial number from a handgun and kidnapping

They were being held under $25,000 bonds in the Roanoke Rapids jail on Wednesday. They are due in court on Dec. 13.

The stolen money and the gun were recovered, police said.

You must know the father and son duo in the hold up??? Are you trying to have a family reunion on the taxpayers dime or what?????

Simply baffled at the dumb idiotic things that people say to each other and the ignorance behind it. About the story, I wonder what these kids today actually think, or do they think at all about their future? It annoys the stuffing out of me, that so many young ones are throwing their lives away by committing the most senseless acts. Just take them all and pour holy water on them, or something. Geeeezzzzz

Believe it or not a lot of these kids would rather be working somewhere but there are no jobs for them. Idle hands and idle time soon lead to problems.

I find it interesting that the kid who had pictures of girls on his cell phone had a 50 K bond while armed robbery is only 25K. What kind of justice system are we running here?????

I think the disparity is not race based but in the case of the drunk driver, while a terrible tragedy, is a result of poor judgment that resulted in death. Drunk kids don't intend to kill others when they do something stupid like go driving. There is the matter of intent, even though it is nuanced. I think that people kind of respond to that.

In this case, there is a willful intent to rob and take property. Even though both situations are tragic, given the intent of the robbers is much more malicious, there is s different response.

I am very against drunk driving and feel differently about intent when the perps are older and they have had multiple offenses especially. In those cases, I tend to view them in the same way as a robber (someone who is up to no good and wants to hurt others).
