Fayetteville and Wilson will receive a combined $220,000 in state funds for public transit projects – part of $1.7 million the North Carolina Board of Transportation awarded last week.

About $166,000 will go to Fayetteville toward acquiring land for a multi-modal transfer center, the state Department of Transportation said Friday.

Another $54,000 will go to replace the roof on the Wilson Transportation Center.

Asheville, Greensboro, Wilmington and Winston-Salem also received a combined $1.48 million for projects.

Fayetteville can't make a phone call for $166,000. You watch; they'll use that for a "study".

Oh Goodie a debt-infested State hands out non-existent money. Instead of this I want that money back in the highway trust fund those clowns have been robbing. We have people driving over bridges that are extremely dangerous.
