Raleigh, N.C. — The State Bureau of Investigation has completed its investigation into allegations against a former North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper and has turned its findings over to the Wake County District Attorney's Office.
The Highway Patrol requested the SBI probe of Larry Lovick in June, after women accused him of sexual misconduct while on duty.
Lovick, who had been with the Highway Patrol since 2004 and was assigned to Troop C in Wake County, resigned a day before the SBI was called in. He has denied any wrongdoing.
District Attorney Colon Willoughby said he is reviewing a copy of the SBI investigative report, but he gave no timetable on when he would make a decision on possible criminal charges in the case.

In other words "We will try to sweep this under the rug as soon as possible so we don't give the SHP yet another black eye!"

seems a bit extreme to me that our state would put that much man power and money into that?
