Woman wounded in Chatham home invasion

print friendly

A 61-year-old woman was wounded early Wednesday during a home invasion near Pittsboro, the Chatham County Sheriff's Office said.

Two masked men broke into a home off N.C. Highway 87 shortly after 3 a.m. and confronted four people inside, authorities said. At least two shots were fired, and the woman was wounded in the foot.

She was taken to UNC Hospitals for treatment and was released.

The intruders fled the area in a vehicle, but the four occupants of the house were able to provide only sketchy descriptions of the intruders, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Chatham County Sheriff's Office at 919-542-2911.

You would think so, however...better check the law on that one...it is a little more complicated than that!!!
