Student found shot to death at university in Elizabeth City

Mid-Atlantic Christian University characterized the incident as "a personal matter between two students," in a statement issued Monday. 

The university identified the deceased as Jonathan Schipper, a sophomore from Havelock.

City Manager Rich Olson said the victim was found in a campus dormitory. School officials said he was shot by another male student. The suspect's name has not been released.
