Three people have been arrested after Hoke County deputies and Raeford police found a large marijuana plant growing in their front yard as shrubbery, authorities said Friday.

James Alton Locklear Jr., 29, Darlene Hicks Woods, 38, and Jo Anna Jackson, 31, all of 213 Lafayette Woods Mobile Home Park in Raeford, have been charged with manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for drug use and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Narcotics detectives went to the mobile home park after receiving a complaint about marijuana being grown there and found a large plant near the front porch, authorities said.

Good grief! How many "shrubs" would it take to be drug dealer for more than a couple of weeks? West Coast glaucoma patients can grow more than that for personal use.

Solve some serious stuff, Sherlock!

I believe the professional term is "market gardening"

Probably said they didn't know it was marijuana...

Bring me a shrubbery!

Now that was funny. Obviously, they all thought they could get away with it. Now they face the consequences of their actions.
