Spring Lake, N.C. — A stone has been drawing curious visitors to Spring Lake United Methodist Church for several days.
Some people say a marking on it appears to be the Virgin Mary and Mary Magdalene standing at the foot of the Jesus' cross. Others see it as a stain or blemish in the stone.
Church secretary Nancy Wrenn said she had been praying that her church would experience a revival.
"This was, to me, I feel like, an answer to prayer. I think (God) sent us a miracle," Wrenn said Wednesday.
Wrenn notified other churches for witnesses to confirm that something is on the stone. The church, which is on Bragg Boulevard, has opened its doors for anybody to go and look.
