A 44-year-old Raleigh man has been charged with trafficking cocaine in North Carolina, according to arrest warrants.

Gerald Allen Rolle, of 316-3 Cutler St., faces one count each of trafficking in cocaine by possession and trafficking in cocaine by transportation and two counts each of selling and delivering cocaine and possession with intent to sell and distribute cocaine.

The warrants state that Rolle was arrested when he tried to sell drugs to an undercover agent. He was carrying 28 grams of cocaine at the time, according to documents.

He was placed in the Wake County jail under a $2 million secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.

Rolle served 12 years in prison after being convicted of drug trafficking and being a habitual felon, according to state Department of Correction records. He was released in 2005.

I agree that maybe marijuana should become legal... b/c it has no medical side effects... however cocaine is a pretty heavy drug. It makes people do some downright crazy and violent things. IMO it should always be illegal, as well as heroin and meth.

and still, the war on drugs and the black community continues. the c.i.a. started the drug economy in the hood "cia contra freeway rick " and 25 yrs later and millions of arrest later , no victory ? only street level guys.......... wral is pathetic and the government

Wow!? They are about to throw the book at this guy, he's going to be gone for a while....

I'm still a believer that non violent drug law offenders should have lesser sentences. I know a guy whose been in jail 6 years on drugs, never harmed a fly in his life, and when he gets out he's not going to be the same...

But sex offenders are galavanting the malls... Looking creepy and smiling at our kids...

Looks like somebody's been getting high off their own supply!

he looks like Mr. Clean or budda...
