Raleigh man accused of cyberstalking
A 44-year-old Raleigh man has been charged with cyberstalking for harassing a woman, according to an arrest warrant.

The warrant states that Stanley Ayers Jr., of 3712 Greenleaf, repeatedly sent a Raleigh woman emails "for the purpose of annoying and harassing" her.
Ayers was placed in the Wake County jail under a $1,000 secured bond and scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 23.
Cyberstalking was first classified as a misdemeanor crime by North Carolina law in 2000. It is defined as sending threatening or annoying emails.
Ayers was also convicted of second-degree murder in 1995 and served between 130-165 months in prison, according to State Department of Correction records. He was also charged with assault on a female last May, records show.
