Man killed in Fayetteville wreck
A man was killed in a wreck early Tuesday at the intersection of Yadkin Road and Pima Drive in Fayetteville, police said.
Posted — UpdatedPolice said Dominic Tearry, 25, was traveling east on Yadkin Road when his vehicle ran off the road and struck the curb. The vehicle then lost control, overturned and struck a light pole.
Tearry and his passenger, Shaun Tearry, 30, were ejected from the vehicle. Shaun Tearry died at the scene and Dominic Tearry was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital with serious injuries.
The men are cousins.
The wreck is under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time, police said.
