Raleigh, N.C. — Police running a background check on a man arrested for theft found that he was a sex offender who failed to register his address with authorities, according to a warrant released Sunday.
Donnie Daniels, 54, of 1307 E. Lane St., was arrested Saturday when he attempted to take several packages of meat from Larry's Supermarket, at 1101 Milburnie Road.
Officers then discovered that Daniels had moved in May without notifying the sheriff's office, a felony.
He was held on failure to register and shoplifting charges at the Wake County jail on $1,000 bond.
