"40% of the prison population is black. As far as why that number is so high, read up on the disproportionate number of blacks that are sentenced to prison terms or longer prison terms than whites with the same criminal history and similar charges against them"

So now it is the judge and juries fault? Anyone intelligent can look at any media headline and see who is committing the crimes. Rev Barbar should sue the "Cops" show on TV for not paying royalty to the NAACP for depicting mostly blacks in their TRUE stories and he would have plenty of snack money.

"In other words, most violent criminals are poor, uneducated people who live in substandard conditions." Actually, if you really pay attention, a good number of these useless, pathetic, disrespectful teenagers that commit these crimes are from mid to upper level income families. Economic status has absolutely squat to do with anything. The problem is that we're raising a generation of complete and total pansies. The government sticks it's nose in people's affairs and tells us how we can and can't raise our children. Parents are scared to spank their children because some no-life having loser will report them to the police. Get your hand out of other peoples lives, let parents raise there kids on there own, the way it's meant to be.

Rargos, I agree with you about the poor comment. My father had an eighth grade education and worked on a farm all his life. They had nothing, could barely feed themselves and there were 7 kids, 2 parents and 2 grandparents all in one small house. he turned out to be one of the finest human beings on this earth. It's all in what you are taught and how you are brought up. He was taught to respect everyone regardless of color or background. A large portion of today's youth have not been taught those values and believe that the world "owes" them something. They don't know what it's like to have to work hard for the things they get because it's just given to them. That's what is wrong with this 15 year old. He needs to be taken to the woodshed as Andy Griffith would say. If it had been done a long time ago, he might not be in the news today.

Indians, Oriental and Arab kids in the US don't do these things because their culture believes in two parent households and discipline. We have lost those values forever!

"I was asking if the fact that you don't see many asian, middle-easterners or american indians (along with some other races)committing crimes such as this, and violent crimes, related to their cultural beliefs."

Absolutely. If you come from a culture that glorifies violence and looks down on hard work and education, you get people who kill and rob more often than others.

But you can't criticize someone's "culture" without being call the R-word, so let's find some other excuse, shall we?
