Raleigh, N.C. — A former highway patrol trooper who was fired after a sexual encounter with a fellow trooper's wife now has a new job with the state.
Timothy White was hired in May by the North Carolina Education lottery as an investigator, WRAL News has learned.
The hiring came less than a year after he was let go by the patrol for conduct unbecoming of an officer.
At the time of his dismissal, White filed an appeal, arguing he was treated more harshly than other troopers with similar offenses. He eventually resigned from the patrol.
