A former highway patrol trooper who was fired after a sexual encounter with a fellow trooper's wife now has a new job with the state.

Timothy White was hired in May by the North Carolina Education lottery as an investigator, WRAL News has learned.

The hiring came less than a year after he was let go by the patrol for conduct unbecoming of an officer.

At the time of his dismissal, White filed an appeal, arguing he was treated more harshly than other troopers with similar offenses. He eventually resigned from the patrol.

The State fired him for unethical conduct. How does he manage to get another job with the State?

On another local TV website, there is an article about a NC trooper finding 67lbs of pot during a traffic stop, guess what - no comments! As long as troopers are doing their job, they don't get noticed or receive a thank you. Must be a slow news day for WRAL if all this is all they can report, WRAL give the whole trooper thing a break. At least the former trooper found himself a decent job.

Job probably wasn't even posted. JMHO.

Now, who would know more about investigating than someone who has been investigated?

who cares??? This is not news worthy
