Fayetteville, N.C. — A tractor-trailer has overturned under the bridge at Hillsboro and Rowan streets in Fayetteville, and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Hazardous materials teams have contained a minor diesel fuel leak at the scene, police spokesman Dan Grubb said. Police could not say when the scene would be cleared and traffic allowed to resume as normal.
Grubb said the tractor-trailer, which was carrying garbage, rounded a corner too fast and flipped over on its side around 7:45 a.m. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
The driver, Juan Antonio Olvera Guillen, 38, of Rose Hill, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
No charges have been filed in the wreck.
