Hope Mills, N.C. — A woman told Hope Mills police that she saw an alligator near her home on Cameron Road Wednesday.
Police Chief Robert Hassell said his department got multiple calls about the animal Wednesday morning but wildlife officers had not been able to capture it.
Last week a five-foot-long alligator was spotted in nearby Hope Mills Lake, and officials advised residents to avoid swimming and to keep small animals from getting too close to the water.

It's getting hungry.
Keep your doggies inside. Doggies harrass reptiles, and this one'll eat 'em up quick.
God bless.
