A woman told Hope Mills police that she saw an alligator near her home on Cameron Road Wednesday.

Police Chief Robert Hassell said his department got multiple calls about the animal Wednesday morning but wildlife officers had not been able to capture it.

Last week a five-foot-long alligator was spotted in nearby Hope Mills Lake, and officials advised residents to avoid swimming and to keep small animals from getting too close to the water.

Uh Oh!

It's getting hungry.

Keep your doggies inside. Doggies harrass reptiles, and this one'll eat 'em up quick.

God bless.

If you just leave it alone and not bother the animal it will not bother you. Don't feed it at all either or you will make it stay, providing a food source will make it stay in your area. Wildlife Officers and the District Biologist will remove it as soon as possible.

Catch it. Cook it.

I thought the wildlife official was out of town, thats why it wasnt captured?
