Wilmington, N.C. — A small plane crashed in the parking lot of Veterans Park in Wilmington Sunday afternoon, injuring the 72-year-old pilot.
The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office said pilot Ted G. Stone suffered a broken leg and multiple lacerations. He was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
No one else was injured in the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration had been notified.
More details were not immediately available.
