Two Wake Forest men were arrested Thursday in connection with breaking and entering two vehicles, Wake Forest police said.

Timothy Christopher Hardy, 16, of 213-148 N. Allen Road, and David Edward McCants, 20, of 521 N. Taylor St., are each charged with first-degree burglary, felony larceny, breaking and entering a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny, according to arrest warrants.

They are accused of breaking into a 1998 green Dodge Ram truck a 1992 Burgundy Buick Lasabre.

They were in the Wake County jail Thursday evening under $500,000 bonds.

What's wrong the bail? Maybe it's that high to send a message; though most criminals have the IQ of a slice of ham thus it probably wouldn't register w/them. Anyway, I'm glad they're now 'Bubba' bait; they deserve it.

$1/2 Million bond for breaking into 2 cars? RIDICULOUS!! Did they kill someone? Murder warrants a bond like this, but if anyone suggest this outrageous bind is based on race, everyone will go nuts about the race card. I think this example speaks for itself, though...Our justice system is totally screwed up!

It could be they are being held as habitual offenders and thats why their bail is so high?

They broke into 2 cars and got $500,000 bond. The other guy defrauded people of money and a truck and got $70,000 bond. What do the judges do, roll a pair of dice to set bail. This makes no sense.

I could be wrong, but Mccants looks to be the same one that was caught breaking into cars in Cary and Apex last year?
