Fayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville police said Monday that they are investigating two homicides that happened Monday.
Officers responding to a shooting on Catawba Street at around 12:30 a.m. found the body of Kenneth Barnard Green lying near his vehicle.
Green, 34, had been visiting friends in the area prior to the shooting, authorities said.
At about 8:40 a.m., officers responding to a report of a possible breaking and entering at 334 Rhew St. found the body of a man later identified as 22-year-old Terrance Omar Plummer, Jr. Authorities said Plummer was homeless.
Police did not release any information about either cases, including details about a possible suspect.
Both investigations were active Monday morning.
