Wilmington, N.C. — A deputy with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office lost his job after a weekend arrest.
Matthew Brandon Jordan, 26, submitted his resignation Monday.
He was charged with driving while impaired Friday night by the North Carolina Highway Patrol in Johnston County. He was off duty at the time.
Jordan had been with the sheriff's office since 2006.
