CLAYTON, N.C. — Hospira officials said this weekend that the company has recalled two drugs made at North Carolina facilities.

The drugs, Propofol and Liposyn, were contaminated after an equipment failure, officials said. Federal regulators found the problems earlier this month at the Clayton and Rocky Mount plants.

Hospira officials said the company is still manufacturing the drugs at the Clayton facility and are waiting for approval from the Food and Drug Administration before further shipments.
